Susan Rybin at age six, began acting classes at Miriam Colon’s Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre in New York.  Concurrently, she initiated her professional career as an actress in such plays as: “Flag Inside”, “The Little Prince”, “This Property is Condemned” (H.O.L.A. Best Actress Award), “Latinos”,“I Ought to be in Pictures”, and “Maribel y la Extrana Familia”.  As a minor, she is the only artist to have won the Honor Medal of the Academic Society “Arts-Sciences-Lettres” of France for her portrayal of Anne Frank in “The Diary of Anne Frank” which she received a Best Actress Nomination for from A.C.E.  Ms. Rybin was also the National Crew Girl for McDonald’s commercials and a cast member of the popular show “Infinity Factory” on PBS.   Film and television credits include “As the World Turns”, the movie “Police Brass” with Carol O’Connor, and “Rosa and the Executioner of the Fiend”, a film by Ivan Acosta. A few of her commercial credits include: N.Y. Lotto, Allegra, Tums, Sears, Kaiser, and Industrials for Ortho-McNeil, General Motors, Vanguard, and Valic.

Ms. Rybin’s studies include:  P.R.T.T.(Acting & Spanish Diction), H.B. Studio (Improvisation and Directing) , Poli Rogers (Dance), Hal Schaefer (Voice) and The New School for Social Research, earning certificates in Human Relations and Nutrition.  Ms. Rybin has combined her study of nutrition and her home passion for cooking and entertaining by specializing in Continental and Spanish cuisine for numerous industry and family events.  Appearing online since 2007, she was the originator of the first video recipes for Goya foods.

Susan Rybin’s  other credits include: “Labors of Love” 2002 at the Lambs Theatre,  “Fireflies” at Thalia Spanish Theater, H.O.L.A Outstanding Achievement Award 2004, The Woman of the Year award from “El Diario 2000”,  La Tribuna Newspaper 2005 and recognition  by  the Art-Sciences-Lettres of France receiving the Silver Medal for her outstanding career as an actress in  July 2006.  As well, Susan Rybin’s   performance in “Three Calla Lillies” at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater earned her the 2009 A.C.E. Award for Best Actress in a dramatic role.  She also received a nomination for 2011 A.C.E. for her co-starring performance in “No Problemo Amigo” at Thalia Spanish Theater.  In 2012, Susan toured Colombia with “No Problemo Amigo” for the International Theatre Festival in Manizales, Medellin and Bogota.  Her recent performance was in the acclaimed “A Times Square Pinero” at the Times Square International Theater Festival.

Proudly, Susan Rybin, accepted the Special Ace Award for her 30 years as a performer and Latino youth educator through her accredited Rybin Studio of Drama.  Most recently, she was guest co-host once a week of the popular “Buen Dia NY”, a weekly morning radio show at Wado 1280AM and also hosted the Kids Stage at the Univision Familia y Hogar Expo.
